We are pleased to invite you to attend a members regional open day, kindly hosted by York Christmas Trees on Tuesday 12th April, 4pm - 7pm.

This event is free for members to attend and does not include any food.

Discussion Topics:

• Nordmann Fir Provenances - there are four seed sources in one field so it would be interesting to observe and compare any emerging differences.
• Nordmann Fir Formative Pruning - we will just be finishing base pruning and 3,2,1 pruning.
• Nutrient Requirements - sandy soil site with ongoing nutrient issues, mainly magnesium deficiency.
• Leader Control - trees are growing well and have been leader controlled twice using pliers and Fixor. Conshape planned for this year.
• Display Trees - 12 to 17ft Norways which are being grown as display trees.
